Sports Brain AI published its youth athlete prediction review on 27 October 2026, adding an explicit account of how coaching, maturation and access affect the meaning of a performance score. Since our 26 October company update, that is the documented public change. A coach can now use the review to ask what opportunity a young athlete had before interpreting a ranking.
Our next nutrition task is to establish which dated records can support a current meal-cost comparison. The archive contains a Jamaican pricing approach from 2025. It does not establish current prices across Caribbean markets. Our proposed next check is a dated price worksheet that another reviewer can audit.
The March 2025 nutrition milestone
A company abstract and covering letter dated 14 March 2025, titled Sports AI Nutritionist for the Price of an Oxtail and Rice, set out an affordable, locally relevant athlete-nutrition project. The letter was addressed to the Caribbean sport-science conference at the University of Technology, Jamaica. Preparing this submission is the retrospective milestone. The inspected record does not establish conference acceptance, journal publication or peer review.
The abstract describes literature review, Jamaican market-price collection and an AI meal-planning approach. It says calibration and preliminary testing were underway at that time. Those are dated, company-reported development statements. We have no newly inspected validation report that turns them into evidence of better health, sporting performance or household savings.
A second abstract dated 14 March 2025 describes ATLIS, the Athletic Talent, Learning, and Intelligence System. It proposes connecting athlete-development information through a national intelligence network. The inspected document is a conceptual design. It does not establish an operating national database, a validated youth prediction model or permission to publish identifiable athlete records.
What a price comparison must preserve
A coach or parent needs to know which market, date, currency, package size and edible quantity a quoted price represents. A bag price alone cannot establish the cost of a meal portion. A useful worksheet should retain the original unit and the conversion, with enough information for a reviewer to repeat the arithmetic.
For a proposed comparison across Caribbean markets, keep each country's prices in its own dated record. Record the exchange-rate source and date if a comparison requires conversion. Separate missing prices from foods that are unavailable. Do not infer that a food is affordable to a family simply because its converted price is lower than a price elsewhere.
The next nutrition test should also separate purchasing cost from dietary suitability. A qualified professional should assess the nutritional question and an athlete's individual circumstances. We cannot infer ethnic or sex-based biological requirements from group averages. The archive's Caribbean food and gut-health interests remain research questions; this update reports no demonstrated gut-health benefit.
How the coaching work connects
The male and female evidence review and the new youth review provide questions for future coaching studies. They do not validate an AI assistant coach. Participant representation, study design, sex, gender and sport-specific outcomes need separate treatment when a study is planned.
For reaction-time or combine work, retain the device, task, repeat attempts and testing conditions before comparing scores. For tennis computer vision or drone football analysis, define the event a system should identify and compare it with a permitted, independently checked annotation. These are proposed evaluation requirements, not new Sports Brain results.
The briefing also identifies DBJ drone football analysis and an AI assistant coach as coverage priorities. No newly inspected delivery or validation record supports a fresh claim about either this week. We will need a dated activity record, the precise role of each organisation and a shareable result before reporting a completed milestone.
Keep the institutions distinct
The nutrition and ATLIS submission records name the University of Technology, Jamaica. A separate research-partnership proposal concerns UTech and contains future work and agreement steps. It is not evidence of a signed partnership. The University of the West Indies is a different institution. The inspected records do not justify relabelling UTech work as a UWI collaboration or attaching either institution to an unverified 2023 combine account.
The next measurable step
Our proposed checkpoint for 5 November 2026 is to audit 10 permitted Jamaican food-price entries before extending the comparison to another market. This is a documentation target, not a completed collection or an adequately powered nutrition study.
- Record the market, collection date, currency, package quantity and price source for each entry. Retain permission for any unpublished information.
- Ask a second reviewer to repeat the portion-cost conversion. Count complete entries, unresolved units and disagreements against the 10 entries actually reviewed.
- Publish a permitted aggregate description of the method and missing fields. Keep household, athlete and commercially confidential records private.
- Agree a separate protocol for dietary suitability and prospective user evaluation before making a health or performance claim.
The completed change since our previous company edition is publication of the youth review. The 2025 nutrition and ATLIS documents remain preliminary archive evidence. Current product readiness and cross-market price coverage remain unverified. The price audit is the next proposed task; no result from it is claimed today.
Sources and publication status
Company archive reviewed 29 October 2026. The following dated records are company-reported evidence. Public summaries are provided here; private source documents and identifying records are not redistributed.
